I just have to tell you how smart our Bayleigh is. She saved Jades life the other day.
Bayleigh saves Jade's life
Allen was in the pasture with "Cherokee" his horse. The "girls" were on the front porch. Now that it is nice and cool they want to be out there even more. Jade doesn't like a collar. She chewed two harnesses off of herself. Then she chewed and ATE another collar that we had gotten her. Honest she ate it. All I found was the metal from it. So I had bought her a "choke collar" only because it was metal and I knew she couldn't chew it off nor eat it. Well Jade got her "rabies tag" caught in between the boards. And she tried to free herself but actually wound up choking herself. Bayleigh has this little high pitch squeal. At first she was just barking and barking. Allen noticed a squirrel on the railing earlier. So at first he thought she was barking at it. Then the little high pitch squeal!!! Now this is a sound that will make your hair stand up on ends. Allen thought "She either caught that squirrel OR it caught her." He decided to investigate because she was not letting up! Allen said Jade was just gasping for breath when he got to her. Had Bayleigh not raised such a ruckus, we would not have Jade today. So now when Bayleigh starts her little squeal, we sit up and take notice. Who knows, one day it might be one of us needing the other. And Bayleigh will once again save the day!
Later on- Bayleigh and the Possum!

My husband and I moved to Lake City in March of 2005.
I was just "surfing the web" and thought I would see what I could find on Lake City. I saw your web page and noticed that you wanted pictures. '
My husband and I have 2 Dachshunds, Jade and Bayleigh.
Both have the same father but different mothers. BUT the mothers are sisters.
Never have we had so much fun with kids. Did I say kids, I meant dogs.
They don't know they are dogs and we haven't told them any differently. They have been a source of joy for us especially since we only know a few people here.
