Downtown Park
This photo is of our downtown park that  now has the gazebo.  Far back as I can remember, all the outside functions were held here.  There were usually country bands playing up in the Gazebo.  This is the same park my Grandpa Clemons and I use to go and feed the pigeons while Grandma paid bills and such.
First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church of
Lake City.

It's located there, close to the downtown park area.

Lake Shore Hospital
many many years ago.  Not sure of the date, but I don't remember it being this small.  I was born there in 1953.   All three of my kids were born there.
Old Post Office Postcard

The old Post Office.

I guess that this and the old Courthouse are my most favorite buildings in our city.  They reek of history.

The Red Barn

This one brings back a lot of memories for me. My mom waitressed  here for many years.  I recall going here after school and sitting at the tables and doing my homework.

Mid-Town
Motel

Mid-town Motel was right across from the old ice plant on Marion, heading North of town.

The following photos and postcard were sent in by Sam Roberts, previously of Lake City, now of Boston!  Thank you so much Sam.  With my family originating primarily from Lulu, I particularly had a lot of interest in the Lulu photos.
The card doesn't have a date on it, but this is definitely a photo of Blanche Hotel on Marion Street during a Hey Day.  Office suites can now be rented in the remodeled Blanche.  I had an office there for a while before I decided to move home and loved it.  Such a wonderfully interesteing history.  Sharon
This is old news print of the entrance into Lake City comming from Five Points area back in 1925.

Love this-thank you Sam!

This picture is of the Johnson House in Lulu.  When I was little the old
man that lived there (Mr. Johnson) told me that his family built it around
1902. I think P.D. Cason is the current owner. The past few years vandals
have broken out the windows and stole the mantels off the fire places.
This picture was found by Sam Roberts in the closet of the house that used to be where the First Baptist Church Annex now sits.  The picture was taken in the backyard of the house.  That is Lake Desoto in the background.

On the back of the photos is written
"Dorothy Rountree and daughters, Susan & Dorothea

Thank you, again, Sam!

This is a photo taken in Starke, FL during WW II

Columbia County Courthouse
First National Bank Building on Marion St. downtown.

Don't know the date, but from the vehicles, I'd guess the 30-40's.

Shot of downtown Marion Street.
Beautiful shot of downtown South Marion.
